We were asked by a good friend from high school to cover a surprise birthday party he was doing for his wife. (we will leave the age out of it!!) Jay went all out for this party. He had it catered and a DJ! Strangely enough the DJ was also a high school buddy! It was great running into Steve. I haven't seen him since our good old high school days. The party was a 70's theme, and a good bit of people dressed up! Alison was genuinely surprised, but we were caught off guard by the arrival time, lol. We mustard up a delayed "SURPRISE!", lol and Alison laughed. The food was amazing and all the details that Jay worked in were impressive. There were old photos of Alison on all the tables and a memory board of old pictures and souvenirs. Here a few highlights from the festivities!

Jordan and Thomas's Wedding
We were lucky enough to be apart of Jordan and Thomas's wedding day. They got married at the beautiful Charleston Maritime Center, located in downtown Charleston by the Charleston Aquairum. It was a tad bit gloomy, but Jordans beauty made everyone forget about the weather. She was stunning in her gown!! Oh, and Thomas cleaned up nicely too. Haha! It was a nice, intimate ceremony. Everyone had a wonderful time. We captured alot of precious moments. Being a father of 2 girls, Jordans dance with her father had me choking back some tears. We wish you guys nothing but the best in your future!!

Here are a few highlights from their big day.

Playing catch up again!

We got the pleasure of shooting Gina and Les's wedding on March 28th. We met Gina and Les from a previous clients wedding, Laurel and Dan. You may have seen their photos on the blog!
They had a very relaxed, good ol' southern oyster roast wedding! It was such a blast! Despite the gloomy weather!! I loved how they played on their collegiate rivalry. Kentucky vs. Texas A+M. They even had oyster aprons made!! How awesome is that! Everyone had a great time and the ceremony got off before the rain came in. Congratulations Gina and Les!!

2nd Shooter at Amber and Micheals Wedding
I got the chance to be a 2nd shooter for my friend Carol at Carol White Photography up in Greenville, SC. I've been super busy, so I haven't had the chance to post some shots from the wedding. I met Amber while shooting for Carol about a year ago. Amber shoots for Carol as well. I always get a kick shooting weddings of friends! They get to be themselves and feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Congratulations Amber and Micheal!!!!

We are in The Charleston City Paper!!
The Charleston City Paper is a local publication that showcases the local scene here in Charleston. Everything from music venues to restaurants. If you wanted to find the local hot spots this paper will tell you were to find them, along with reviews and traveler tips!
If you remember a few months back, we did some commercial work for The Vendue Inn located in downtown Charleston. This 200+ year old Inn has a small, but wonderful, restaurant inside it called, The Library. It combines contemporary American cuisine with lowcountry flair. We did some photos for their new head chef, Sara Carter and her new menu items. Needless to say we got to taste the food afterwards and it is amazing!!
The Charleston City Paper publishes monthly, but twice a year they publish their "Dish" edition. This edition showcases all the local restaurants and their chefs. I ran across this edition last night at a local pub and was pleasantly surprised to see my picture in it!! Super cool....

Lil' Ms. Alexus
I'm proud to introduce to the world, my little niece Alexus! She is only a few weeks old, but she's adorable!! We had some free time today, so while we were out shopping Reneka found some fun Easter stuff and wanted to do a shoot with Alexus. Our home studio/office is still under construction so we just set up shop in the living room. She was awesome! Took orders well and never talked back!! What more could you ask for?! Here are just a few from the shoot.

Kisha and Jacobs Guest Sign In Book
One of the products we offer our clients is a custom Guest Sign In Book made out of their Engagement Sessions photos. This one belongs to Kisha and Jacob. I find these to be really awesome for my clients. Its a great alternative to the usual sign in book, plus its something that can be paired up with the Fine Art Album, that they are also picking up from us. on a coffee table for everyone to look at!
